Parliamentary Forums

• The first Parliamentary Forum is Water Conservation and Management, constituted in the year 2005.
• Now, there are eight Parliamentary forums. Parliamentary Forum on -

  2. Youth (2006)
  3. Children (2006)
  4. Population and Public Health (2006)
  5. Global Warming and Climate Change (2008)
  6. Disaster Management (2011)
  7. Artisans and Crafts-people (2013)
  8. Millennium Development Goals (2013)
• The Speaker of Lok Sabha is the ex-officio President of all the Forums.
• The Parliamentary Forum on Population and Public Health is headed by the Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
